About Knead & Needle

Hi, Iā€™m Amy!

My passion for sports massage stems from a lifelong love of physical activity. From playing netball as a child to running, surfing, skiing and kitesurfing as an adult; being active has made me deeply attuned to my body- its strengths, limitations and recovery needs. Sports massage has always been essential in preventing and rehabilitating injuries, helping me stay active and pain-free.

In 2019, I earned an ITEC Level 3 qualification in Sports Massage and began practicing. In 2021, I enhanced my expertise by training in Myofascial Cupping which further expanded my understanding of anatomy and physiology. That same year, I experienced debilitating sciatic pain and whilst physiotherapy provided exercises and guidance, the pain persisted until I tried dry needling, which brought significant relief. Inspired by this transformative experience, I trained in Dry Needling in January 2024 to offer this effective treatment and enable me to offer an even more holistic and complimentary range of services.

As a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists, I am dedicated to my ongoing professional development.
